Intermediate Hunting Retriever Field Tests

An Intermediate Hunting Retriever Field Test consists of five parts

• an upland hunting test without a flushed bird
• a blind retrieve on water (maximum distance of 50 yards)
• a double marked land retrieve (maximum distance of 100 yards)
• a double marked water retrieve (maximum distance of 75 yards)
• a trailing test

Steadiness at the point of origin is required.

Delivery to hand is required.

The water blind will use a different point of origin than that used for the water marks.

A dog will earn 5 points towards a Working Retriever (WR) title by passing the above tests and earning an average score of 80% or better.
