I'd like to take this opportunityto congratulate all of you and your dogs. It is your hard work andcommitment that has qualified you for the R.A.W. Invitational 2000.As host of this year's R.A.W. The Alberta Clipper Hunting RetrieverAssociation has been actively organizing for this event sinceNovember 1999, and its members are committed to extending to you, ourwestern Canadian hospitality. Located in the heart of the centralflyway for North America's waterfowl, our grounds offer ideal trialconditions for handlers and dogs. On behalf of The Alberta ClipperHunting Retriever Association we look forward to being your host foran exciting week in July 2000.

Updates & Other Helpful Information What kinds of clothing do I bring? While average day time temperatures in July can be quite pleasant (75 - 80º F), Alberta weather can be quite upredicatable. Please bring plenty of warm clothing as temperatures can fluctuate greatly - but don't forget your shorts either! Also be sure to pack your rain gear! We will make available a limited quantity of birds for training purposes for those handlers requesting this. Please DO NOT try to bring live birds into Canada. We have enquired with Canada Customs and you will not be allowed to bring birds across the border. Ladies Day - Outing to West Edmonton Mall On Tuesday we have arranged for a Ladies Day Outing to West Edmonton Mall the largest mall in North America. For those who think they would like to take part in this activity please send an email to Carol Fox indicating your intention to take part. This will assist the committee in making the necessary transportation arrangements. Can I bring Firearms into Canada? Please DO NOT attempt to bring hand guns into Canada! Any firearm or weapon brought into Canada must be declared. If a firearm or weapon is not declared, customs will confiscate it and you could face criminal charges.
