NAHRA PUP Frequently Asked Questions

Here is a brief explanation of some of the questions you may have about this bulletin board.

How do I read the messages on NAHRA PUP?

Click on the message you want to read. Today's messages are seen by clicking on "Today's Messages" button.


How do I post a new message on NAHRA PUP?

To post a new message, just click on the "Post a Message" button. You'll see windows for your name, subject, email addressand message. Fill those in. The other windows are optional and can be ignored unless you want to show a link to a site in your post. When you're done composing, click on the "Preview Message" button at the bottom to see how your message will look when posted. If the preview looks OK, click on the "Post Message" button to post your message on the PUP. That's it. After returning to NAHRA PUP, you may have to reload the page to get your post to appear since your browser may still be displaying the old page from cache.


How do I post a followup (reply) message on NAHRA PUP?

Start by reading the message you want to post a followup to. Scrolling down, you'll see some windows to fill in for a followup message. Name, Email address, Subject, Comments windows are the only ones you'll need to fill in. The other windows are optional and can be ignored unless you want to show a link to a site in your post.

Name window: Type in your name.
Subject window: You can overwrite the existing subject with your new subject or keep what's there.
Comments window: You can overwrite the existing message with your comments or your can type your comments before or after the existing message.

When you're done composing, click on the "Preview Message" button to see how your message will look when posted. If the preview looks OK, click on the "Post Message" button to post your message on the PUP. That's it. After returning to NAHRA PUP, you may have to reload the page to get your post to appear since your browser may still be displaying the old page from cache.


Why are there colons in the message when I try to post a followup?

The colons indicate the lines that are quoted from the message you just read.


Why didn't my post show up on NAHRA PUP?

Your post most likely did not show up, because your browser did not reload the new page, it simply pulled the old page out of memory cache. Hit the "Refresh" or "Reload" selection in your browser's navigation bar or menu to make sure you're viewing the latest page with your post on it.
